The following chart was prepared by the Truman State University Registrar's Office and reflects the manner in which credit completed at Moberly Area Community College may be used to fulfill Truman State University Liberal Studies Program (General Education) requirements.  This information is subject to revision, without prior notice, as a result of changes in either Moberly's or Truman's curriculum.

We will need the number and name of the course you are completing through Moberly Area Community College to process your request.

Truman State University accepts both the credit earned for a course and the grade received. Grades earned become part of your cumulative grade point average. Students must report all credit attempted.

Elementary Functions

Satisfactorily complete the following set of courses:
MTH 105 College Trigonometry (2) and MTH 140 College Algebra (3)
Any course that fulfills the Mathematical Mode of Inquiry will also fulfill the Elementary Functions Essential Skill requirement.

Statistics

Satisfactorily complete one of the following:
MTH 160 Elementary Statistics (3)
MTH 215 Introduction to Probability and Statistics (3)

Computer Literacy

Computer literacy is imbedded in the student's curriculum.  No courses will be required to fulfill this requirement.

Personal Well-Being

Moberly Area Community College does not offer courses that fulfill this requirement.

 

 

Modes of Inquiry:
Students must complete seven of the eight modes of inquiry.  Some courses that fulfill modes of inquiry requirements are required as one component of a student’s major curriculum. When selecting courses, students should review the requirements for their major in the 2005-2007 Truman State University Catalog for more information.
