A
student may audit a class for no credit only upon the approval
of the instructor. Regular fees and enrollment procedures are
required. However, the student will not be permitted to take the
final examination, and no credit hours earned or any indication
of the level of performance will appear on the transcript entry.
Audit enrollments do not fulfill requirements for load
considerations by the Veterans Administration.
Students auditing a course are expected to make a commitment to
their education by attending classes regularly. If the auditing
student fails to meet the regular attendance requirement as
defined by the instructor, the instructor will record a "W" on
the final grade report to the Registrar.
Students may sign up to audit a class through the the
first five days of courses for the Fall and Spring semesters, or
the first two days of summer courses.
Audit forms are available in the Registrar's Office, McClain
Hall 104. Forms must be signed by the student's advisor and the
instructor of the course and submitted in person by the last day
to sign up to audit. See the
Important Dates
section for exact dates.
During
the term that a course is being audited, the audit cannot be
changed to graduate or undergraduate credit. However, the
student may enroll in the same course for credit at a later
semester. Course work must be completed during the semester that
credit is earned.
