The 21^st Century Leadership Academy is a weeklong, residential program sponsored by the Sue Shear Institute for Women in the Public Life.  The program encourages students to consider careers in public policy, and provides leadership skills training to help them be successful.  Graduates of the program -- Shear Fellows -- have gone on to careers in legislative and executive offices, as well as graduate and law school.  Truman State University is proud to have sponsored the following Shear Fellows since 1998:
